Regulators create manga strip to educate youth on privacy rights

The French and South Korean privacy regulators have collaborated to develop a manga strip aimed at informing youth about their privacy rights, such as the right to access, rectify, be forgotten, and data portability. According to the French privacy regulator CNIL, manga strips are highly popular among young people.

“Understanding legal concepts is not always easy,” CNIL said. Through the strip, it is explained that companies and other organizations must explain in clear and readable language what is being done with personal data.

The strip is available in English, French, and Korean.
